The term “digital twin” sounds like science fiction. It no longer is. At Trickhouse we create photorealistic AI versions of real people every day for campaigns, fashion content and product staging. But how does it actually work?
What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is an AI-generated version of a real person. Based on reference photos, we train a model that reproduces the person's appearance, proportions and presence photorealistically. The result is a consistent digital character that can be used in almost any situation without a single further shoot.
What do we need for it?
The process starts with 10 reference photos: six close-ups of the face from different angles, two upper-body photos and two full-body photos. The more varied the angles, the better the results. The photos do not have to be professional – smartphone shots in good light are enough in most cases.
How does the process work?
Once the photos have arrived, we first create test images. They are sent to the person for review, and we only continue after explicit approval. There is no binding contract without agreement to the results. The digital twin contract is only concluded once the quality is convincing.
What is the digital twin used for?
The possible uses are almost unlimited: clothing presentations, product staging, lifestyle content for social media, beauty campaigns or brand ambassador content. The digital twin can be produced in any environment, any lighting and any format.
Who stays in control?
The person themselves. Every job is agreed individually and can be declined without giving reasons. The digital twin is only used for approved projects. Use is limited to 12 months and can be extended afterwards.
What can you earn?
30 percent of the net order value is paid out, always on the first of the following month after payment is received. A detailed statement of all jobs can be requested at any time.
Conclusion
A digital twin is not a vision of the future but a working technology that is already in use today. At Trickhouse we have designed the process to be transparent, fair and safe for everyone involved.
