Digital twins for
business and brands
A digital twin is the photorealistic AI version of a real person. For brands that means one face that stays the same across many campaigns, markets and formats, without the person having to stand in front of a camera every time.
Digital twin or synthetic model?
Both are photorealistic AI models. The difference lies in the template, and therefore in the rights.
Digital twin
Based on a real person.
- Trained from the person's reference photos
- Personality rights stay with the person, use is licensed
- The person approves looks and uses and keeps control
- A fit when the recognisability of a specific person is part of the brand
Synthetic model
Developed entirely digitally, with no real-life template.
- No personality rights of a real person in the face
- Look can be designed per brand or season
- Usage rights are provided through Trickhouse
- A fit as a reusable brand face
How a digital twin is created
01 Reference photos and consent
The person provides reference photos and agrees to the creation and the terms of use.
02 Training
An individual AI model learns face, proportions and presence.
03 Test motifs and look approval
Test motifs are produced before booking. The person and the client approve the look.
04 Series production
The motifs are created as a series, in image and video, in your formats.
05 Quality control and delivery
Checks against a checklist, labelling under the EU AI Act and delivery in your formats.
Use for brands
Campaigns across markets
The same face with setting, light and product adapted per market. Example: Series images for a care brand.
Catalogues and product presentation
Products on a model, without organising a shoot for every collection.
Social and motion
Image-to-video and cutdowns for channels, in several aspect ratios.
Localisation
Language, look and setting can be adapted to single markets without changing the identity.
Rights and control
Digital twins are based on a real person. Their use is therefore not licensed in general but per campaign, term and territory. The person keeps control over every use. The required usage and personality rights are provided through the real person.
We agree the specific terms per project. This is not legal advice. General notes on the use of our content are under Image rights.
How the identity stays consistent
Consistency does not come from a good prompt but from a trained model and a defined look. Reference motifs serve as the benchmark, and a checklist tests every series for deviations in face, proportions and style.
That is how the face stays the same across image and video, scenes and markets. If you need this for a system of your own, the technical framework is under Enterprise image generation.

Frequently asked questions
Does the person have to do a photo shoot for this?
Reference photos are needed, but not a classic campaign shoot. The model is trained from the reference photos, after which the motifs are created digitally.
Who decides on individual uses?
The person keeps control over every use. Looks are approved in advance, and use is licensed per campaign, term and territory.
What is the difference between a digital twin and a synthetic model?
The twin is based on a real person, the synthetic model is developed entirely digitally. Accordingly the rights lie with the person in the one case and are provided through Trickhouse in the other.
How does the person stay consistent across many images?
Through a trained model, a defined look, reference motifs as the benchmark and quality checks across the series.
Can I become a digital twin myself?
Yes, through our application process. You will find all the information under Becoming a digital twin.
